The interior setting for the Paimio chair is inspired by the Aalto House and Studio, both in Helsinki.  At the Aalto House, all windows in the living and dining rooms have window boxes to grow plants.  Here we made a free download file for you to reconstruct this green addition.  For the coming festive season, we added a Christmas tree in the file, too.

Download the PDF file and print it out on A5 card, then follow the picture instructions below.

  1. Hi, I really like these chairs paper models and I bought a couple of them. Thanks for this free models! Which material do you recommend to print these models on? I’m new in paper modelling and I’m struggling to find the right cardbox to print my models. I think I use one that is too thick. Any comment on this would be appreciate. Thanks,
    Kind regards,

    • Hi Jesus. The best card for this window green box is about 200 GSM from our experience. They are sold in a rim of printable cards or pad. The type may be called “Heavy Weight Cartridge Paper” in the style of pad. I hope this will help you to complete the model. Sorry for taking time to reply you!
