001 Sussex, circa 1860, Assembly Hints & Tips, Free download supplement, News & greetings

A few days before Christmas and finally I am featuring this Victorian Christmas tree – just in time!  Please find a pdf download file below, and decorate your 1:16 model of Sussex armchair.   The reference for this tree is from the Christmas Past exhibition at Geffrye Museum, in the 1870s period room.

Print out the attached pdf files, on heavy weight matt printing paper/card, then cut out trees, box and background with a craft knife.  Fold up the slimmer tree without top-flag, and fold down another tree with top-flag, both at their centre.

Glue two trees together along centre line, to make them X shaped from the top view.  Fold up the box, make two spikes upwards to support tree on the top.

Fold up the two broken lines at the top of the background.  Glue the background to the wall at top and bottom ( just a very tiny bit of glue to tack it in place if you want to remove the Christmas background later on) – completed.  Bring the chair back to the room, place the Christmas tree and add some present boxes in 1:16 if you have time!

Have a peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year!
