There were printed publication called ‘Tunnel Book’ or ‘Peepshow book’, a part of paper diorama history in Europe.  The top picture shows its structure with several cut out card panels connected by bellows – folded for storage and extended to view through holes in front.

ヨーロッパでは17世紀ごろから、トンネル・ブックまたは「のぞきからくり絵本」と呼ばれる、折りたたみの蛇腹を延ばして正面の穴から内部の空間を覗くタイプの本が出版されました。トップの写真のように、折り畳まれた部分を前後に延ばして造作が切り抜かれた厚紙を均等に立てると、内部に空間が作り出されます。

This is a modern Japanese replica of 1820s English book showing Palais-Royal in Paris ( by Dai Nihon Kaiga, 2009 ).  There are three holes to look in and the images below are view through the central one.

撮影したものはイギリスのS. & J. フラー社1820年代製のトンネル・ブックを大日本絵画社が2009年に復刻したもので、パリのパレ・ロワイヤルを正面の3つの穴から覗くように作られたものです。
